Children
We understand the importance of the safety and privacy of children on the Internet. Therefore, we do not intentionally collect personal information from users under the age of 18, nor do we offer content targeted to children. Children should always ask permission from their parents or guardians before providing any Personal Information online.   

Our Website is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to the Website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.  If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on this Website through any of its features, register on this Website, make any purchases through the Website or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number or email address. If we learn we have collected or received Personal Information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. In this policy, 'Personal Information' or 'Personally Identifiable Information' means information about you that is unique and would actually or potentially identify you as an individual, such as your name, address, e-mail address, phone number or credit card information.

Our Website does not collect Personally Identifiable Information from you or your computer when you simply visit (e.g., browse) and unless you provide us with Personally Identifiable Information, we will not know or collect that information.  When you a request or visit a page on our Website, we do log certain communications, technical and operational information and aggregate it with other similar information to make our Website function correctly, do capacity and other technical planning, and generally make our Website function properly.  We also use this information to better understand how visitors use our Website and how we can better tailor our Website, its contents and functionality to meet your needs (see more in the section below on cookies).

You may be asked or required to provide Personal Information when you use our Website to:

  • Make or modify a reservation.
  • Request a proposal using the Request for Proposal or Request for Information forms.
  • Establish a profile and make requests using our Stay Planner tool.
  • Use the Contact Us feature.
  • Register for our Email Club.
  • Submit an Employment Application.
  • Otherwise provide us this information in the course of using of our Website.
  • By participating in marketing initiatives, surveys or responding to special offers.

Our Website limits the collection of Personal Information to what is adequate, relevant and reasonably necessary to process requests and submissions made by you in using our Website. Any Personal Information collected beyond what is expressly required to fulfill your requests will only be collected with your prior, express written consent.

Consent for processing sensitive data
In the rare instance that our Website seeks to collect or process sensitive data, such sensitive data will only be collected following the receipt of freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous agreement to process such Personal Information relating to you, the consumer. How we may use your information
When making a reservation, purchasing a gift card or using forms on the Website it is necessary to have this information to identify you, contact you and to process your purchases and requests. It may also include, if you choose to share that information with us, your preferences regarding services we may offer, such as type of room, type of bed and other special requests. From time to time, we also offer special discounts offers (for example, to seniors or for children) and we may require birth dates or other qualifying information to assess your eligibility and process your reservation or participation correctly. If you elect to participate or take advantage of a promotion, package or other service that involves third parties, your personal information will be shared with that third party to the extent necessary to participate, enroll or otherwise provide you with the service and process your purchase or request.

We may also use the information you provide to send you offers and information about the hotel’s services. These communications are generally provided via email, and you will be given an opportunity to unsubscribe.

You are always free to refuse to provide Personal Information to us, recognizing that in some cases this may limit or make it impossible for us to agree to provide you with the services or goods you may request.

Your Personal Information will never be sold or provided to any unaffiliated third parties without your prior consent.  Your information will only be shared in the following instances:

  • Within The Jefferson Hotel’s operation, with our corporate offices or sister properties so that they may provide the services you have reserved.
  • When necessary, to complete a reservation transaction with a person who, in the reasonable judgement of the hotel, is acting on your behalf or as your agent, i.e. a travel agent, corporate travel department or administrative assistant.
  • With a third-party provider involved in the processing transactions you have requested and in supplying you with services requested, included but not limited to reservations handling, data processing and storage, surveys or research, items, or services to be charged to a guest room, or in order to collect payment on your account.
  • With a public authority or official for the purpose of protecting the assets of the hotel or if in the reasonable judgement of the hotel, it appears that there may be danger to life, property or public safety which could be avoided or minimized by disclosure of the information.
  • When required by law or regulation.

Data Security
Appropriate security measures are employed to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the Personal Information you may provide, whether held at The Jefferson Hotel or on its behalf.  Access to your information will be limited to appropriate personnel and contractors as required to complete their job function. All ordering and reservation information is encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology – including your name, address and credit card information – before it is sent over the Internet.  Unfortunately, no on-line data transmission can be guaranteed to be totally secure.  The Jefferson Hotel is not responsible for any breach of security or for any actions of third parties we believe to be responsible.    

You are responsible for ensuring the information you provide to us and that we maintain is complete, accurate and up to date. We cannot and will not be liable to you or any other party if, for any reason, you do not provide us with complete, accurate and current information or you fail to update such information in a timely manner. We strive to provide you with choices regarding the Personal Information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information: Tracking Technologies and Advertising. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this Website may then be inaccessible or not function properly. Promotional Offers from the Company. If you do not wish to have your email address/contact information used by the Company to promote our own products or services, you can opt out by sending us an email stating your request to [email protected].  If we have sent you a promotional email, you can use the opt-out function at the bottom of each email at any time. We have not sold Personal Information. For purposes of this CCPA Notice, “sale” means the disclosure of Personal Information for monetary or other valuable consideration but does not include, for example, the transfer of Personal Information as an asset that is part of a merger, bankruptcy or other disposition of all or any portion of our business.

    • The categories of Personal Information we collected about you and the categories of sources from which we collected such Personal Information.
